You talk to the people building your product. A decision takes a conversation rather than a chain of meetings and a change request.
The first call is free and you will be talking to an engineer, not to someone whose job is to book you in.
In most software companies, the person you meet is not the person who writes your code. There is an account manager, then a project manager, then a delivery team you never speak to. By the time your question reaches an engineer it has been through three translations, and by the time the answer comes back it has been through three more.
Our engineers spent a decade inside those structures, in agencies, product companies and enterprises. The name is what we left behind.
The person who answers your question in week one
is the person still answering it in month six.
That is the whole model, and it has one honest consequence: it only works while we stay small. We take on fewer projects than we could, because the alternative is hiring a layer to manage the ones we could not personally handle, which is the thing we are named after not doing.
None of these are values on a wall. They are the practical consequences of a studio with no layers in it, and they are the things you would notice in the first fortnight.
You talk to the people building your product. A decision takes a conversation rather than a chain of meetings and a change request.
Every engineer has 10+ years of hands-on experience. There is no junior tier quietly learning the craft at your expense.
Design, build, deploy and the year afterwards, handled by one accountable team. Nothing falls into the gap between vendors.
Honest estimates, and the uncomfortable ones too: this is harder than we thought, this feature is not worth it, you do not need us for this.
Our experience goes well beyond the browser, which matters mostly because it means we have seen how differently things break depending on where they run. The full list is on the services page.
The bulk of the work, and where most projects start.
ApplicationsWhere the code has to survive without anyone nearby.
Embedded & IoTUsed as a tool, not as a substitute for deciding things.
IntelligenceThe part that decides whether any of the above stays up.
InfrastructureAlongside client work we build and run our own software. That is not a portfolio exercise. It means we personally carry the support requests, the hosting bills and the occasional bad night, which is the part of software that teaches you what to recommend to someone else.
All three are on the products page. Running them is also why we are blunt about hosting costs, offline behaviour and maintenance: we pay those bills on our own software every month.
Most of what an about page tells you is why to hire the company. This is the more useful half. We would rather lose an enquiry on the first call than three months in, and the split below is honest about which side you are on.
If you are on the right-hand side, say so on the call and we will point you at what would actually serve you better. That costs us nothing and saves you a quarter.
NoCubical is a new name, not a new team. It brings together engineers who have spent the last decade building software inside agencies, product companies and enterprises, now running it the way they always argued it should be run.
Hands-on experience per engineer, across web, mobile, embedded, AI and cloud work. The people on your call are the people writing the code.
Small by design, so every project gets real attention. We would rather turn work down than dilute what we already committed to.
Including our own products, which we still run. Maintaining software long after launch is the part that teaches you what actually breaks.
Your repository, your cloud accounts, your store listings, your design files, all in your name from day one. Leaving should be a decision you can make, not one you have to negotiate.
We will sign a mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement any time you want one, at no cost. You can read the exact document we use before you ask for it.
Small, and deliberately so. We are a senior studio rather than an agency with a bench, which means we take on fewer projects at once and each one gets the team's real attention. If you need thirty developers next month we are the wrong call, and we will say so rather than staffing up on your budget.
We are registered in Mohali, India, and we work remotely by default with clients across India and abroad. Most collaboration happens over calls, shared repositories and written updates. Where a project genuinely needs people on site, such as hardware installation or a factory floor, we arrange that separately.
It depends entirely on scope, so we do not publish a rate card that would be wrong for most people who read it. What we do commit to is that scope and price are agreed in writing before any work begins, and that the estimate comes from the engineers who will do the work rather than from someone trying to win the deal.
Both. Our engineers have worked inside agencies, product companies and enterprises, and the studio takes on first-time founders as well as established businesses replacing something that already carries real work. What matters more than your size is whether you want a small senior team rather than a large managed one.
Yes, any time you want one, at no cost. It is mutual, so it covers both sides, and you can read the exact document before you ask for it. Say the word when you get in touch and we will have it signed before the first call.
Whatever you want to happen. We can keep building, hold a maintenance and monitoring retainer, or hand everything over to your team with documentation and a walkthrough. The code and the infrastructure are in your accounts from day one, so leaving is always a decision rather than a negotiation.
It names the thing we did not want to rebuild. In most software companies the person you meet is not the person who writes your code, and your question passes through an account manager and a project manager before it reaches an engineer. We removed those layers, which only works if the studio stays small and the engineers stay senior.
